Colonel Percy Fawcett took a wrong turn in Peru
And instead of finding Incas he found Blackbeard’s motley crew
They’d been living on bananas and a daily tot of rum
Since they landed in the country back in 1701

Fawcett quickly realized they were 200 years old
‘Here’s the proof of immortality - a tale that must be told!’
Blackbeard was awakened and he stumbled from his bed
Pausing only for his cutlass ‘fore he cut off Fawcett’s head.

4. The Explorer
(Heikkilä - McGowan) A true story – up to a point. Col. Percy Fawcett did indeed disappear, but I don't think the rest of my poem should be taken too literally. Jore does a fine job on guitar and vocals. --Davy
